The Barkives is the comprehensive, personal collection of dog photographs by Seattle Dog Photographer Erin Vey.

Images are available for a variety of uses including fine art prints and greeting cards.

The site was especially designed for the commercial client in mind. Buyers can easily find the image of their choice by browsing the categories at left or utilizing the tag function below each individual image.

Meet Erin Vey

A dog lover first, a photographer second.

By some random chance of fate, Erin was able to combine her two loves into the coolest job ever: A Dog Photographer

Erin grew up in a family where dogs were always an integral part of their lives and most importantly, members of the family. Most of her childhood was spent with various Basset Hounds of the lovable but extremely stubborn variety. We never had less than two at any given time, sometimes three, and the occasional stray that one might bring home for a visit.

After a short stint doing portrait work, Erin realized her true calling was capturing the essence and personality of dogs. Upon reflection, she feels that her time doing portrait work was not wasted. Because of it, her experience with portrait work flows beautifully into working with people and their dogs.

Erin and her husband are owned by the fabulous Miss Gracie, a 5-year-old Great Dane who brings energy and life into their house.
